Terms of sale
Who we are
Hosted at Home is a small business based in the UK. Our website is www.hostedathome.co.uk.
What you are buying
Each pack is a digital file (a PDF) that you download and print at home. In Story Corner, a storybook is a PDF too, and an audiobook is an audio file (an MP3) that you download and play. Nothing is posted to you. Prices are in pounds and are shown on each pack’s page.
How you get it
As soon as your payment goes through you will see a download button, and we will email the same download link to the address you give at checkout. Keep that email: the link in it lets you download your pack again. The email comes from an address that cannot receive replies.
What you need
A device that can open PDF files, and a printer that takes A4 paper (or a print shop). Packs and storybooks are designed for A4. Colours vary a little from printer to printer. For an audiobook, a phone, tablet or computer that can play MP3 files.
How you may use it
Your pack is for your own personal use. Print it as many times as you like for your own get-togethers. Please do not share the file, resell it, or use it for a paid event or business without asking us first.
Unofficial packs
Our film packs are independent and fan-made. They are not official, and are not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any film studio or rights holder. You provide the film yourself. Each pack says what the film is rated where that matters.
Food and allergies
Recipes list the allergens their ingredients usually contain, but products vary. Always check your own packets, and ask your guests about allergies before you cook.
Games and activities
Please supervise children and use your own judgement about what suits your guests and your home.
Payments
Payments are taken securely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
If something goes wrong
If your download does not work, the file is damaged, or the pack is not as described, message us on WhatsApp on 07311 288018 with the email address you used to buy, and we will put it right: a working file, a replacement, or your money back. This number is for help with orders only.
These terms
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Nothing in them takes away your legal rights as a consumer.
Refunds
Digital downloads
Because a pack is delivered to you straight away, you agree before you pay that your download can start immediately, and that once it has started you lose the usual 14-day right to change your mind.
We cannot refund a pack once it has been downloaded, unless something is wrong with it.
A bundle is one purchase. A family bundle gives you several packs for one price, and a story bought as storybook and audiobook together is a bundle too. Once any one of its files has been downloaded, we cannot refund the bundle, in whole or in part, unless something is wrong with it.
We will always refund or fix
- a file that will not download or open,
- a pack that is faulty or not as described,
- a pack you were charged for twice by mistake.
How to ask
Message us on WhatsApp on 07311 288018 with the email address you used to buy. We aim to reply within 2 working days. Refunds go back to the card you paid with.
Your details and your photos
What we collect when you buy
Your email address, so we can send your pack and help with your order. Stripe handles your payment details; we never see your card number.
Who helps us run the shop
Stripe (payments), Resend (sending your order email) and Vercel (hosting the website and storing the files). They handle your details only to provide those services.
What we do not do
We do not sell your details, and we do not send marketing emails unless you have asked for them.
Photos you send to our gallery
If you scan the code in your pack and send us a photo, we look at it before anything is shown, and we may show it on our website. We never show names. Location details hidden in the photo are removed before it reaches us. Only send a photo if you took it or have permission, and if you are the parent or guardian of any child in it, or have their parent’s permission. To have a photo taken down, message us on WhatsApp and we will remove it.
Your rights
You can ask us what details we hold about you, or ask us to delete them, by messaging us on WhatsApp on 07311 288018.
